This is not aimed at you Ryan, but I'll do want to say publicly that @TrustlessState and I felt psyopped by sizeable portions of Ethereum's social layer for saying this exact thing on Bankless in Spring/Summer of 2024.
It was a frustrating experience and a tremendous energy sap.
I'm glad we're finally here but we could have gotten here faster. My hope is that the Ethereum community remains open to good faith critique from those who genuinely want it to improve.
This was a pivot - not on values but on roadmap and we should be more open to roadmap pivots moving forward.
