everyone says "chat is the new interface" here's why it's wrong i was hitting an API yesterday pulling data. everything was right there in the terminal. all the numbers. all correct. but i couldn't actually feel what i was looking at. the second i threw it into a visualization it just clicked. the scale made sense instantly. patterns jumped out that i completely missed reading the raw output. this is what the "chat is everything" crowd keeps missing. we're visual creatures. that hasn't changed because we got chatbots. and this is especially true for non-technical people. your marketing manager doesn't want to read a wall of text from an AI. they want to see a chart and make a decision. more people are getting technical every day but there's still a massive gap between getting data and actually understanding it. visualization bridges that gap. i think what happens is on-demand visualizations become the default. you describe what you want to see in natural language. it builds it. no more static dashboards. no more waiting on the data team. ask > see > decide > act the companies building for this are going to eat the ones still building chatbots
