According to market sources, LayerZero is expected to officially announce its own blockchain network called Zero on February 10th. This information stems from a short, leaked internal video that hinted at LayerZero's earlier "big announcement" – a move into a new phase with an independent blockchain, rather than just a cross- chain messaging Vai as before.
LayerZero is known as one of the most important cross-chain infrastructures in the crypto ecosystem, enabling different blockchains to exchange data and assets directly, without the need for traditional bridges. The launch of the Zero blockchain, if confirmed, would mark a major strategic shift: from an intermediary infrastructure provider to a builder of a complete platform layer, capable of directly competing with next-generation blockchains focused on multi- chain interoperability.
