It is very possible crypto will never be "cool" again.
Indeed its very possible that crypto was associated with youthfulness and wealth and excitement and general thumosity for a specific period of like 2012-2021 and that period is now over.
HOWEVER...
Crypto does not need to be "cool" to reach a $10T and eventually $100T market cap...
Indeed, its far more likely that it is just a boring process of Millennials and Zoomers slowly switching the global financial rails to crypto over the next 40 years as the boomers die off and these younger crypto-native generations take over the leadership of all the various countries and economies worldwide.
With that said, a counter-argument might be that because of its permissionlessness, there will always be new exciting things that pop up.
Either way though, I don't think the "coolness" of crypto really has anything to do with the long-term gains in total crypto market cap.

I think a lot of fun and cool things will come back once rates go down and liquidity starts flowing everywhere again.
Right now there’s just not enough liquidity, and we’re seeing what was previously hidden by euphoria.
Yup- agree with this completely - to a large extent "coolness" is a function of price action :)
Exhibit A:

but mega pump will happen sooner
