Binance's SAFU (Special Purpose Fund) has just completed a purchase of 15,000 Bitcoin, totaling approximately $1 billion, marking one of the largest BTC accumulations by a cryptocurrency exchange in recent times. According to on-chain tracking data from analyst Ember, the entire disbursement process was carried out through multiple transactions, with an Medium purchase price of approximately $70,000 per BTC.
Specifically, SAFU executed several scattered purchases across different price ranges. The first two transactions, each for 1,315 BTC(approximately $100 million each), were executed at around $76,045. Following this, the fund continued to purchase 3,600 BTC worth approximately $250 million at an Medium price of $69,444. The next phase recorded a transaction of 4,225 BTC , equivalent to $300 million, at $71,006. Finally, the largest purchase in this chain was 4,545 BTC, worth approximately $300 million, executed around $66,006/ BTC. In total, 15,000 BTC were added to the SAFU fund, completing its plan to allocate $1 billion to the market's leading digital asset.
