Toss Considers Acquiring Overseas Coin Exchange

The Korea Economic Daily reported that Toss, which has established a dedicated blockchain organization, has begun exploring the market with the goal of acquiring an overseas virtual asset (cryptocurrency) exchange. Specifically, it appears that the company is in contact with various overseas platforms with an eye on an institutional trading model. Recently, it was reported that the company held a meeting with EDX Markets, a US institutional-only virtual asset trading platform. A source familiar with Toss' internal affairs stated, "While an acquisition has not been finalized, we understand that they are keeping the possibility of acquiring an overseas exchange open and are continuing to contact various platforms."
