some interesting images of the market i've collected in the past few days i'm seeing a lot of "this hasn't happened since dot-com" or "4 sigma move" - this is an extremely bad mental model to approach the markets with, the truth is markets move up and down and no one event is the same as the next complexity sells but the truth is often simple, and the fact is you would be a much better trader if you started ignoring these guys and just took the data at face value without their interpretation for one, obviously how i interpret all of this is that it's pretty bearish. but i'm not going around thinking this is gonna be covid 2.0 bc it "hasn't been seen in 20 years" - no i'm just chilling.
