In his opening remarks, Mr. Dam Thanh Hiep – Chairman of the Board of Directors of NWG – stated that Vietnam is entering a phase of accelerated digital transformation. As the number of people participating in digital assets increases, preparing legal knowledge and security capabilities is essential to ensure ownership rights in the digital environment.
Expert Perspective: The Pillars of the Digital Asset Era in 2026
At the workshop, experts analyzed how technology and policy will together shape the market in the period leading up to 2026.
Dr. Tran Quy, Director of the Institute for Digital Economic Development, believes Vietnam is entering a "creative era" with a transparent on-chain economy as its focus. He points out four main pillars: the Law on Digital Technology Industry, the Fintech Sandbox mechanism, international financial centers, and transparent tax policies. According to him, when these elements are implemented synchronously, digital assets will operate within a more transparent ecosystem with a clearer legal basis.
Conversely, the more advanced the technology, the more sophisticated the risks become.
Mr. Vo Do Thang – Director of ATHENA Center for Management and Cybersecurity Training – warned that AI is being exploited by hackers to automate and upgrade attack methods. Cryptographic assets are not only Token or coins but also include brands and real products digitized via Blockchain and Non-Fungible Token. This expands the attack surface and requires correspondingly upgraded security.
Representing BingX, Ms. Le My Huyen – BingX Business Development Manager – stated that the difference between Web2 and Web3 lies not only in technology but also in security mindset. Many investors still rely on traditional passwords, while the new environment requires passwordless authentication (Passkey) and biometrics to enhance security. According to her, popularizing security knowledge is a fundamental element for adapting to the Web3 ecosystem.
