In his opening remarks, Mr. Dam Thanh Hiep – Chairman of the Board of Directors of NWG – emphasized that Vietnam is entering a phase of accelerated digital economy growth. With over 20 million investors participating in the digital asset market, equipping oneself with legal knowledge and understanding the risks is crucial to protecting property rights in the technological environment.
Expert Perspective: The Pillars of the Digital Asset Era in 2026
At the workshop, experts analyzed the fundamental factors that help mitigate risks and increase transparency in the market.
- Dr. Tran Quy, Director of the Institute for Digital Economic Development, believes that Vietnam is entering a "creative era" with a transparent on-chain economy. He points out four important pillars: the Law on Digital Technology Industry, the Fintech Sandbox mechanism, the International Financial Center, and transparent tax policies. According to him, when these pillars are implemented synchronously, the digital asset market will operate within a clearer legal framework, minimizing gray areas and limiting emerging risks.
- Conversely, Mr. Vo Do Thang – Director of ATHENA Center for Management and Cybersecurity Training – warned that AI is being exploited by hackers to increase the accuracy and sophistication of their attacks. He emphasized that digital assets today are not limited to cryptocurrencies but also include brands and physical products digitized via Blockchain and Non-Fungible Token. This means that investors face more layers of risk if they do not upgrade their security skills.
- Representing BingX, Ms. Le My Huyen – BingX Business Development Manager – pointed out a noteworthy fact: many investors are still using traditional security methods while the Web3 environment demands higher security standards. She recommended adopting passwordless authentication (Passkey) and biometrics to optimize protection levels in both the Web2 and Web3 spaces. According to her, proactively changing security habits is the first line of defense against risk.
