Great reporting by @EleanorTerrett. The establishment hostility to crypto pre-Trump was really hostility towards to permissionless networks. For example, the Basel capital rules were punitive, but only with regard to crypto assets on open networks. Much of the US political attack against crypto - including the hostility of tradfi leaders - was aimed at open networks. Kudos to @USComptroller and the @USOCC for taking a stand for tech neutrality, democratized networks and economic freedom.
