Fully agree with @pmarca, AI is not gonna take jobs away, it’s going to create new and many more jobs. Humans are already massively wealthier compared to 250 years ago, and that’s entirely because of the efficiencies technology brought in. Every new technology wave does this, and look at the last two to three hundred years, most people’s work has moved up the stack, less manual grinding, less safety hazards, more working with the mind, and AI just takes this even further. AI will allow humans to do more fulfilling types of work. P.S.: The moment humans start getting more fulfilling work, the same work will not remain that fulfilling, and our minds will keep asking for more, and we will find newer forms of misery. For example, mental illness pandemics are relatively newer forms of illness that we are picking up en masse. But that’s how the game is built, for suffering.
