i grew up around coaches that were deeply religious about the basketball gods they swear the gods decide the outcome of games. the gods are to be pleased at all times. this genuinely starts with peace offerings and extends to every vertical of the game play the right way and eventually be rewarded. dive on the floor. offensive rebound. make the extra pass. good things will happen. play the wrong way and they will punish you. wimp out of the hustle play? miss an open layup. chew out your teammate? lose a 20 point lead. the gods control more than your skill level i think the market is no different. we are at the mercy of the market gods at any given time. sure some traders are better than others but even the best have nowhere near a 100% hit rate. the only option is to submit. if i am to take something from the market (making money) then i am to give the market what it wants (help send garbage to zero) i am nothing more than a vessel contributing to universal truth in the orderbooks. i am suprised more good traders haven’t independently come to this conclusion
