ME News reported on April 14 (UTC+8) that the Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that the United States' constant changes in demands during negotiations with Iran in Islamabad were the reason for the failure to reach an agreement. The Foreign Ministry said that Iranian Foreign Minister Araqchi stated in a phone call with French Foreign Minister Barro on the evening of April 12 that although Iran had "complete distrust" of the United States, it participated in the negotiations in a responsible and goodwill manner and made progress on several issues.
