This video has recently resurfaced; it features views from Sam Altman, founder of OpenAI, from March of this year. He said he envisions a future where AI computing resources will be billed like water and electricity, rather than with fixed monthly fees, and everyone will have to buy them based on usage. And because everyone needs it, it may eventually be classified as a public resource by the government, managed and allocated uniformly.
