Coinbase: Base is still building towards the "genesis window", and the Mainnet launch time is undecided

Coinbase stated that its Layer 2 Base is still building towards the "genesis window" (genesis window), and the mainnet launch time has not yet been determined, but the company stated that it will share more important updates at a later date.

One of the goals that Base has achieved is the establishment of the Regolith Hard fork on April 27, 2023. The planned upgrade is intended to "enhance the security and reliability of the network," according to an April 26 newsletter from Base. Currently, Base is awaiting Optimism 's upgrade to Bedrock , which it says will significantly reduce the complexity and length of its codebase. A Coinbase representative said the team behind Base also planned to complete an infrastructure review with the OP Labs team and passed internal and external audits.
