PANews reported on December 12 that Neeraj K. Agrawal, director of communications at the encryption advocacy organization Coin Center, tweeted: “The Digital Asset Anti-Money Laundering Act is a direct attack on technological progress and a direct attack on our personal privacy and autonomy. Absolutely nothing. Doubt, this bill, while proposed as a solution to potential money laundering and terrorist financing, is actually a negation of liberal values. Unfortunately, this bill cannot be improved; it can only be opposed in its entirety. Coin Center will do everything in its power to protect Americans’ rights to thwart this unwarranted attack on individual privacy and autonomy.”
Earlier today, it was reported that the digital asset anti-money laundering bill proposed by U.S. Senator Warren added five co-signers .
