Sleap.io, a blockchain-based hotel booking platform, has announced a partnership with web3 insurance providers Avata to introduce the world’s first tokenized travel insurance.
This will grant users a flexible, secure and fully web3 option to book stays, from weekend trips to week-long vacations.
The tokenized travel insurance revolves around the use of an Insurance NFT, driving innovation in what has long been a stagnant industry.
What is Sleap?
Sleap.io is a web3 hotel booking platform headquartered in Zug, Switzerland.
The platform offers personalized deals through closed user group rates, providing access to over 350,000 hotels worldwide, and accepts over 200 cryptocurrencies for payment.
Built on the Camino blockchain, Sleap.io facilitates direct interaction between hotels and customers, streamlining the hotel booking process.
What will the Sleap-Avata partnership provide?
The project is supported by the Camino Network, a blockchain designed for the travel industry.
Sleap.io and Avata began collaborating on the concept during discussions at the Travel Unchained conference in Mallorca in October.
