ChainCatcher news, Ethereum co-creator Vitalik Buterin published an article today titled "Ethereum has blobs. Where do we go from here?", which pointed out that there are four key areas for improvement in the current L2 protocol:
1. Use bytes more efficiently through data compression;
2. Optimistic data technology, using L1 to protect L2 only under special circumstances;
3. Continuously improve and implement relevant constraints;
4. Continue to improve security.
Vitalik added that basically, Ethereum is no longer just a financial ecosystem, but a full-stack alternative to most "centralized technologies" and even offers some things that centralized technologies don't have (such as governance-related applications) program), this broader ecosystem now needs to be taken into account.
