The floor price of the popular Bored Ape Yacht Club Non-Fungible Token collection has hit its lowest since August 2021.
Yesterday, the floor price of Non-Fungible Token Bored Ape dropped to 10.9 ETH (about 34,000 USD), before increasing slightly to 11,134 ETH today, according to data from Non-Fungible Token Price Floor. According to the Non-Fungible Token data site, the floor price of Non-Fungible Token has never been this low since early August 2021, when it dropped to 9.5 ETH.
Yuga Labs, founder of Bored Ape Yacht Club, or BAYC, declined to comment on this information.
This Non-Fungible Token collection has been promoted by many celebrities since its first launch in April 2021 and was a "phenomenon" of the Non-Fungible Token segment at that time. In the Non-Fungible Token market, BAYC is XEM the biggest success story, with an engaged community and many follow-up collections.
The current floor price is 90% lower than BAYC's All-Time-High price of 128 ETH (currently around $395,000), reached in April 2022. BAYC has been purchased by celebrities such as Kevin Hart and Justin Bieber, however, they later had to sell it at a loss at a price only a small fraction of the original price.
A class action lawsuit was filed in late 2022, accusing celebrities of publicly promoting Bored Apes and MoonPay without disclosing their financial interests in the companies or whether they received bonuses or not.
