The total value locked on the EigenLayer reStaking protocol has surpassed $15 billion after the project removed the limit on assets Stake across its ecosystem. The platform allows users to stake Native ETH and Liquid Staked ETH with the aim of earning profits from securing other protocols.
TVL's leap comes after EigenLayer launched on April 9, allowing Actively Validated Service (AVS) projects to go live with EigenLayer.
The project has added several updates post-launch, most recently reducing the minimum staking amount for operators on the EigenDA data availability layer from 320 ETH to 96 ETH.
1/ We've lowered min Stake for EigenDA operators from 320 -> 96 ETH! What's this mean for you?

Operators: Lower barrier to secure EigenDA
Restakers: Consider delegating to operators with <1000 ETH to improve decentralization!
Rollups: Better performance w/a larger operator set
Following this update, EigenLayer launched six new AVS services, featuring a variety of functions to address different needs in the Ethereum ecosystem. Additional services include AltLayer, Brevis, Eoracle, Lagrange, WitnessChain and Xterio.
After generating significant pre-launch buzz, EigenLayer has attracted cloud offerings from well-known names like Google, Coinbase and HashKey to join the protocol operators.
“EigenLayer amplifies the utility of ETH as collateral to protect network economic security,” EigenLayer founder Sreeram Kannan wrote on X.
Our goal is to make @eigenlayer eventually permissionless on the Staking assets.

- There is a common misconception that lower volatility assets are better. Is USDC the lowest volatile asset then?… https://t.co/YOrPlgprtB
