The latest data from The Open Network (TON) shows that this Layer 1 is increasingly vibrant despite a time when the price of Toncoin (TON) plummeted nearly 40%. This is also the Altcoin that many Vietnamese investors have been interested in recently.
The number of active addresses on the TON network continues to increase in 2024
The latest on-chain figures provided by CryptoQuant show that the number of active addresses on TON is continuously increasing. The increase in active addresses reflects the vibrancy of the network, with users not only holding TON but also using TON in this ever-expanding ecosystem.
TON's architecture has three important components, Chia from top to bottom as follows: Masterchain, Workchain and Shardchain. In which, Masterchain can be XEM the main chain and Workchain is the dependent chain . The entire validator resides on the Masterchain, and the Workchain sends the latest block hash to the Masterchain.
The chart shows that the number of active addresses on TON's masterchain continuously keeps in an increasing trend. To date, there are more than 2,000 active addresses every day. If you feel this number is too small, in fact Workchain's number is more notable, because the majority of applications on TON are in direct contact with Workchain.
CryptoQuant data shows that Workchain's daily active address count exceeded 1 million in April, and is holding around 750,000 active addresses. If you look back, this number at the end of 2023 was less than 2,000 addresses, but in less than 6 months it has increased 375 times, clearly this is a remarkable explosion.
The TON network is expected to reach half a billion users by 2028
Let's ask the question, where could TON users come from? The most reasonable answer is Telegram users, and Telegram is the main channel for Crypto investors.
The current number of Telegram users is about 900 million, and is expected to reach 1.5 billion users by 2030. The TON Foundation's goal is to convert 30% of users active on Telegram into TON in 3 to 5 next year. This means, the TON network could reach half a billion users by 2028. If this goal is successful, TON will become the leading user chain in the Web3 world.
