Robinhood received a Wells Notice from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on May 4, as well as recommendations from SEC staff to file a lawsuit against Robinhood, alleging potential violations of the Securities Exchange Act.
After the collapse of FTX in 2022, Robinhood received a subpoena from the SEC. The subpoena covered topics such as Robinhood's cryptocurrency listings, cryptocurrency custody, and platform operations.
Previously, after the SEC sued Binance and Coinbase in June 2023, Robinhood delisted tokens such as MATIC, SOL, ADA, FIL, and SAND. Currently, Robinhood offers trading for 15 cryptocurrencies, including AAVE, AVAX, BTC, BCH, LINK, COMP, DOGE, ETH, ETC, LTC, SHIB, XLM, XTZ, UNI, and USDC.
