X (formerly Twitter) co-founder Jack Dorsey predicted, “Bitcoin (BTC) will exceed $1 million by 2030.”
According to major cryptocurrency media such as Cointelegraph and CoinDesk, Jack Dorsey, former Twitter CEO and current founder and supporter of several cryptocurrency projects, made this bold prediction in an interview with Pirate Wires.
Dorsey explained, “The most amazing thing about Bitcoin is that everyone who works in the Bitcoin ecosystem, earns income, and buys Bitcoin makes the ecosystem stronger, which ultimately drives the price up.”
While $1 million may seem like a stretch compared to Bitcoin's current price of $60,000, other prominent figures in the industry are making similar predictions.
For example, Cathie Wood, founder and CEO of Ark Invest, went further and predicted that it would reach $1.5 million by 2030.
In particular, Adam Back, CEO of blockchain technology developer Blockstream and a leading Bitcoin maximalist, said on Twitter last year, "When Bitcoin's sixth halving occurs in 2032, the BTC price will reach $10 million. “It can go up,” he said.
Meanwhile, Jack Dorsey donated $21 million to the non-profit organization OpenSats on the 4th to support Bitcoin development.
Dorsey, who led the social media platform from 2015 to 2021, showed great interest in cryptocurrencies during that time and is now fully focused on this area.
