#Attackers Steal $52 Million From Several DeFi Projects in Curve Pool Exploits#
On July 31, the Curve stablecoin pool alETH/msETH/pETH was attacked due to the recursive lock vulnerability in some versions of Vyper (0.2.15, 0.2.16 and 0.3.0). According to DefiLlama data, the total lock-up volume (TVL) of Curve Finance has dropped from US$3.266 billion on July 30 to the current US$1.869 billion, a 24H drop of 42.78%. DeFi lending protocol Alchemix, DeFi public product JPEG'd, DeFi synthetic asset protocol Metronome, cross-chain bridge deBridge, DEX Ellipsis on the BNB Chain using the Curve mechanism, and the Curve CRV-ETH trading pair were also attacked, with a loss of about 52 million US dollars.
