When you were wandering around the Arweave & AO community recently, did you notice this green elephant? Yes, this cool and cute green elephant is called Dumdum, and has recently become the protagonist of various meme pictures in the community. In addition, a game centered around Dumdum, Pet or Rekt, has been launched. You can get future token airdrops by "petting" Dumdum, commonly known as "Pet to Earn".
In the 9 days since the game was launched, it has attracted more than 3,200 addresses to register, and the number of times Dumdum has been "touched" has reached more than 25,000 times.
Pet or Rekt is launched by AO game distribution platform Permaverse. It is a fully on-chain 3D interactive game where users can earn points (DumDumPoints, DDP for short) by "petting" Dumdum. In addition, a chat room is set up in the game where players can communicate and interact in real time.
Points (DDP) usage
DDP can be used to decide Dumdum's outfit. The styles of hat, eyes, clothes and balloon toys can be chosen by voting. The more DDP, the greater the voting weight.
In addition, DDP can also obtain the future 1:1 $DUM airdrop. $DUM is the native token of the Permaverse platform and will be used to purchase avatars, skins, accessories, in-game assets, participate in distribution platform activities, etc. $DUM has not yet been issued and can only be earned by petting Dumdum to obtain DDP.
Rules for earning points (DDP)
The user completes the "caress" by clicking Dumdum with the mouse. It should be noted that the player can only "caress" once every 24 hours. If the "caress" can be completed every 24 hours, it is considered to have completed the "caress combo". Once the "caress combo" is completed, more DDP can be obtained.
At the same time, players can also get more DDP by staking AOCRED (AO network test currency) in Pet or Rekt. For details, please refer to this formula: DDP = 200 + (current combo 4) + (staken AOCRED 0.5)
It should be noted that the DDP obtained by pledging AOCRED is capped and cannot exceed the DDP of "current combo*4". Here is an example:
If you have 10 combos and have staked 10,000 CRED, the maximum additional staked DDP is 200 + 10*4 = 240 (instead of 10,000 * 0.5 = 5,000), and you will get a total of 480 DDP.
In addition, you can also earn DDP by recommending users. Ask these new users to fill in your wallet address when registering. In the future, you will be able to receive 10% of the DDP earned by the recommended users as a reward.

Other ways to play: Enter the Permaverse
Pet or Rekt is a 3D game. When you click "Enter Permaverse", your Dumdum will enter a new 3D scene, where you can walk around freely and occasionally meet other Dumdums. Interestingly, the scene will automatically switch between day/night mode according to your region time.
