According to CNN, the latest federal court documents filed show that Assange agreed to plead guilty to a felony charge related to his alleged involvement in the largest leak of confidential materials by the US government. This is part of his agreement with the Department of Justice, which will allow him to avoid imprisonment in the United States. Under the terms of the new agreement, prosecutors from the Department of Justice will seek a 62-month sentence - which is equivalent to the time Assange served in a high-security prison in London.
