Cairo, the development language used by Starknet, is based on Rust, so many developers who are not familiar with Rust need to understand and learn this language before starting Starknet development. For this reason, the Starknet Chinese community has compiled a number of Starknet and Cairo related development courses, including Starknet Basecamp, Development Practice Training Camp, DeFi Open Class, and Starknet Chinese Training Camp, aiming to help junior developers master relevant technologies.
The course content covers basic knowledge, smart contracts, front-end and Dojo game and DeFi application development, etc., provides video teaching and practical guidance to help students improve their development capabilities of Starknet ecological applications.
Starknet Basecamp
Starknet Basecamp is hosted by the Starknet Foundation. It is a free training camp on Cairo and Starknet that provides on-site teaching and teaches everything a skilled developer in the Starknet ecosystem needs to know, including Starknet basics, Cairo programming, smart contracts, front-end development, and Dojo development knowledge.
The ninth Basecamp has been completed, which included a 6-week course from April 25 to May 30. The tenth Basecamp is in progress.

Starknet Development Bootcamp
The Starknet Development Training Camp is jointly organized by TinTinLand and Starknet. It combines video teaching, live Q&A, workshop technical guidance and in-depth project analysis, and gradually deepens in the actual hackathon to help students go from entry to in-depth Starknet technical knowledge such as Cairo.
The course started on January 9, 2024, and 4 video courses were updated on January 19. The training camp invited smart contract engineers Shaw Wang and Asten to serve as course instructors. Students consolidated their technical foundation through pre-class learning, in-class practice, and after-class exercises, completed scenario-based application practices from project testing to deployment, and successfully took the first step in Starknet ecosystem development.

Starknet DeFi Open Class
The Starknet DeFi Open Course is a course jointly initiated by Starknet and OpenBuild that focuses on introducing and explaining decentralized finance (DeFi) applications in the Starknet ecosystem. The course aims to help participants gain an in-depth understanding of the Starknet platform and its underlying technology, and demonstrate its advantages in scalability, security, and decentralization.
The course will also introduce the Cairo programming language and its application on Starknet, and teach how to write, deploy and debug smart contracts, enabling participants to develop and use various DeFi applications on the Starknet platform. Through these courses, learners will master the skills and knowledge to innovate and practice DeFi in the Starknet ecosystem.

Starknet Chinese Training Camp
Starknet Basecamp Chinese is a 7-week online training program from November 12 to December 22, 2023, designed specifically for developers to develop applications on Ethereum Layer2 Starknet.
The event is hosted by WTF Academy, co-organized by Starknet Chinese Community, and supported by Starknet Foundation.
