Scroll, the Ethereum scaling solution, has announced the launch of its first Airdrop, allocating 7% of the total SCR supply to reward participants who have contributed to the development of the Scroll protocol, ecosystem, and community. The main contributor categories for the first Airdrop include: Community Airdrop: participants who have contributed through on-chain activities; Ecosystem Projects: projects built on Scroll, focusing on growth and innovation; Industry Contributors: technical contributors to the broader Ethereum ecosystem, ZK researchers, open-source developers, public goods organizations, and educational data providers; Global Community: global community organizers supporting Scroll's mission, Hackathon winners, Road to DevCon, and Ethereum translators. The Community Airdrop has allocated 55 million SCR tokens (5.5% of the total supply) to reward participants who have actively contributed to the Scroll ecosystem through the Sessions program. The snapshot for the first Airdrop eligibility was taken on October 19, 2024, at 08:00 (UTC+8). Eligible recipients can start claiming their tokens from October 22, 2024, at 15:00 (UTC+8). The first Airdrop will be open for 90 days.
