Virtual asset exchange Bithumb announced on the 23rd that it will participate as an official partner in the carbon-neutral cycling '2024 Daegu Gran Festa' to be held on the 26th.
The 2024 Daegu Gran Festa, held for the first time this year, is a 'carbon neutral cycling competition' that practices healthy living and carbon neutrality through bicycles. It will be held in the vicinity of Daegu Gunwi Sports Complex. Participants will ride a 117km Gran Fondo-level course that goes from Gunwi Sports Complex to Cardinal Kim Soo-hwan's birthplace, Love and Sharing Park, Cheongno Bridge, Hantijae, Hwasu Intersection, and Dangjae Peak, and then back to Gunwi Sports Complex.
Bithumb plans to provide various benefits to the 2,000 or so participants who visit as official partners. All participants will receive a Bithumb reward worth 10,000 won. New members will receive an additional 10,000 won reward. New members will receive more benefits so that they can receive the 20,000 won benefit from the ongoing 'Welcome Mission'. All participants will receive a 'Bithumb Thumb's Up Energy Pack', which includes muscle fatigue recovery energy gel, as a welcome kit to help them complete the race safely.
Bithumb has been carrying out the 'Bithumb Culture Project', which contributes to society in various fields such as sports, arts, and performances, starting with co-hosting an amateur golf tournament on the 17th. This sponsorship is the second project and the company plans to continue its activities.
