Busan Digital Asset Exchange announced on the 23rd that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with Korean animation production company 'Ocon' for collaboration in digital asset trading.
Ocon owns intellectual property rights (IP) for content such as Pororo and Dibo. Ocon’s content is broadcasted in 130 countries and has generated over 100 billion won in royalty income. Recently, through ‘IP Licensing Buildup’, it has been building relationships with small and medium-sized content companies and various industries to support collaborative content IP production and distribution.
Ocon will provide blockchain-based technology, information technology (IT) solutions, and networks to the Busan Digital Asset Exchange. Kim Sang-min, CEO of the Busan Digital Asset Exchange, said, “We will work with Ocon to ensure that good products are traded.” Kim Il-ho, CEO of Ocon, said, “If K-content, which is gaining recognition in the global market, is digitalized, it will bring a revival to the digital product and content market.”
