Bithumb, a virtual asset exchange, announced on the 21st that its executives and employees held their fourth blood donation event of the year on the 20th.
In order to contribute to the reduction in the number of blood donors and the resolution of seasonal blood supply instability, Bithumb has been holding regular blood donation events and donating blood donation certificates since 2022. This event was held in a blood donation vehicle in front of Bithumb’s headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, with the cooperation of the Seoul Southern Blood Center of the Korean Red Cross. About 100 employees who voluntarily applied participated in donating blood and donating blood donation certificates.
Bithumb started its own blood donation event in May 2022. Last year, it signed a business agreement with the Seoul Southern Blood Center of the Korean Red Cross for a 'life-saving life-sharing organization through blood donation'. It is practicing a voluntary blood donation culture by regularly donating blood by employees at least four times a year.
Bithumb Vice President of Management Support Kim Young-jin said, “The warm participation of our employees is a great hope for our neighbors in need,” and “As a company that fulfills its social responsibility, we will continue to make various efforts so that the small actions of our employees can lead to greater changes.”
