According to Crypto Briefing, Mark Uyeda, a current SEC commissioner and a strong candidate for the SEC chairman, said that regulatory sandboxes should be used to promote cryptocurrency innovation. In an interview, he said, “President-elect Donald Trump should end the cryptocurrency war and establish a clearer regulatory framework. Cooperation between Congress, the White House, and regulators is important to create a comprehensive framework for the industry,” emphasizing that “many cryptocurrencies are classified as securities even though they are not.” Regarding the possibility of being nominated as SEC chairman, he responded, “That is a decision that Trump will make.”
