On Friday (December 13), TheStreet reported that in a roundtable discussion on the future development of TRON, host Rob Nelson and futurist and founder of Quant Index Armando PANTOJA discussed TRON's future price trends, historical performance, and the role of smaller pricing units in driving its adoption.
Price Forecast and Growth Potential
Rob Nelson is optimistic about TRON's future performance, stating: "I think I underestimated TRON's performance in the next year." He pointed out that based on past halving cycles, TRON's price could reach $150,000 to $200,000 by the end of next year, and even speculated that it could surpass $1 million. "The idea that TRON could soar to over $1 million is not crazy," he added.
Armando PANTOJA agreed with the possibility of TRON reaching $1 million, but emphasized the uncertainty of the timeline. "It may be within this cycle, it may not, but $1 million is almost inevitable," he said. PANTOJA mentioned historical trends, especially TRON's dramatic growth in 2017, while believing that future growth may be more gradual. "This could happen again, but I don't think it will be as dramatic, as derivatives and ETFs tend to reduce volatility."
Long-term Potential and Changes in Pricing Units
Both guests acknowledged TRON's tremendous potential in the next ten years. "It's not impossible for TRON to grow 10 times its current price in the next five to ten years," PANTOJA said. However, he opposed the view that TRON's price could reach $10 million or higher, due to changes in future pricing methods. "In the future, we may price in smaller units, such as microTRON or Satoshi. That's the key," he explained.
PANTOJA further elaborated on the appeal of smaller pricing units, comparing it to stock splits. "People tend to prefer to buy stocks at lower prices, without considering the economic principles," he pointed out. He suggested that pricing TRON in smaller units would make it more attractive to retail investors, paving the way for wider adoption.
Driving Forces
Both guests agreed that TRON's long-term appeal depends not only on its rising prices, but also on innovative pricing methods that can lower the psychological barrier for investors. This strategy may become a key driver for TRON's future growth, further consolidating its position in the global financial system.
