Regarding the research and investment in AI Agent, here are some reference suggestions (including the interpretation of popular projects):
1) The AI Agent market is still too early, and the overall image is still MEME-ized. Even if there are valuable incremental projects, they are also wrapped in the MEME appearance. It is difficult to understand a project using the logic of traditional value judgment. So the earlier you participate in projects that are fun, interesting and innovative, the better. The amount to bet depends on a series of comprehensive factors such as on-chain holder addresses, community reputation, and overall market capitalization. In short, use "technical thinking" to analyze the project, and use the mindset of playing "MEME" to invest in the project;
2) The battle of AI Agent will become more and more fierce, such as the dispute between project parties and community uppercase/lowercase Tickers (ELIZA vs eliza), the pros and cons of the TypeScript and Rust language frameworks (ELIZA vs ARC), the dispute between the open-source ecological social consensus and the closed-source ecological economic consensus (ELIZA vs Virtual), the dispute between the application-oriented monolithic AI and the protocol-oriented AI Chain (AIXBT vs ZEROBRO), etc. In the future, there will be more novel, fun and creative projects. How to judge the authenticity? Just focus on a little bit of innovation, because projects that want to shake the heavens and overturn everything are all paper tigers.
3) AI Agent is an industry that is seeing the real situation in rapid development. Compared to ELIZA, ARC's image is very cool, and it seems to point to a safer, higher-performance, more modular and adaptable AI Agent landing framework. But the activity of early AI Agent developers is more important. For example, when EOS first appeared, it also had the image of defeating Ethereum, but in the end, the EVM standard still won. So ARC must have advantages, but we need to see its subsequent growth potential in actual landing.
4) The ELIZA framework and Virtual architecture encompass the decentralized open-source spirit and Tokenomics economic consensus, two equally important Crypto Native wisdoms. If you stand with ELIZA, you need to recognize that although it has put forward the grand vision of the open-source AI World, its organizational structure is still a social consensus alliance like the OP Stack, and there is still a lot of room for iteration. If you stand with Virtual, you also need to clarify that after the economic model design like Pump.fun allows Virtual to stand undefeated, what sustainable growth value can the Virtual platform ultimately bring to the AI Agent industry? I don't make a choice, I want both.
5) Most projects in the AI Agent field are still very "amateur". Why can an idea issue a Token? Why will an ecosystem issue multiple Tokens? Why don't the traditional AI regulars represented by Gemini 2.0 multi-modal real-time communication AI disdain to play the Token mode? Can the development path of ai16z be clear from the beginning? There are a lot of such questions, and the answer is: AI Agent is an accidental driver of Crypto industry innovation. Everyone is a muddy-legged crossing the river, unable to understand it, and it is impossible to understand it, so there are a lot of opportunities.
6) AI Agent will definitely integrate with blockchain, which goes against the common sense of many people. Indeed, from the perspective of application landing, Agent can improve the intelligence level and service experience of AI just by relying on powerful algorithms, so why bother to do decentralized asset custody, decentralized message transmission verification, and decentralized data storage? Is the combination of AI Agent + Chain a false proposition? Asking like this, isn't it as powerful as the web2 mobile Internet? Do you really have to do blockchain? The only thing that can be said is that those who cannot understand the essence of decentralization are destined not to go far in the Crypto industry, no more explanation.
