According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has reassigned its chief litigation attorney, Jorge Tenreiro, to the IT department responsible for maintaining the agency's computer systems. Tenreiro previously led six major lawsuits against multiple cryptocurrency exchanges.
Additionally, the SEC has also adjusted the position of a lawyer involved in developing the cryptocurrency custody accounting guidance. This guidance had previously created obstacles for banks in providing cryptocurrency custody services to their clients.
