On March 5, according to official information from Pond.fun, the Meme coin Launchpad platform on Linea was attacked this morning. The attacker was the lead software engineer of the project named Genesis, who stole the liquidation from the smart contract and sold the Token, transferring a total of 64.8 ETH to Railgun, a security protocol. Pond.fun warned users to avoid interacting with its official website and the efrogs and croak pages to prevent security risks.
Currently, Chainalysis and Elliptic have been contacted to ensure that the hackers cannot bypass the Proof of Innocence (POI) verification process. At the same time, they are collaborating with the Linea team to investigate this incident.
