PANews on March 14 reported that Coinbase's Chief Legal Officer Paul Grewal tweeted that the Vermont Department of Financial Regulation has officially withdrawn the subpoena against Coinbase regarding its cryptocurrency Staking services. According to the official document released on March 13, the withdrawal decision does not affect any potential future legal actions. The document shows that the main reason for Vermont's decision to withdraw the subpoena is that the SEC has withdrawn similar allegations against Coinbase in the Southern District of New York, and the SEC has also set up a new working group to develop regulatory rules for cryptocurrencies. Coinbase welcomed this and called on Congress to pass comprehensive cryptocurrency legislation, while also encouraging other states to follow Vermont's decision.
