Korea University's College of Information announced on the 24th that it will hold the '2025 SW-centered University AI Startup Idea Competition' and the '2025 Korea University Blockchain Startup Idea Competition'.

This competition was designed to discover innovative startup ideas and solutions based on artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain technology, and to promote technological advancement and business model development. The blockchain sector is co-hosted by Korea University’s Blockchain Research Institute and Token Post. The blockchain sector is sponsored by the Korea Internet & Security Agency, Mexi Ventures, and LG CNS, and will support the participants’ ideas to grow into practical business models.

For the AI sector, Korea University SW Centered University Business Group and Hanshin University SW Centered University Business Group are co-hosting. It is sponsored by Koscom, Kim & Chang Law Firm, and Toss. The AI sector is targeted at undergraduate students from SW Centered University across the country. When forming a team, at least one SW major undergraduate student must be included.

The blockchain sector is open to a wide range of participants, including university students, researchers, and companies. The corporate participating team must include at least one member who is a current student, on leave, or a graduate.

Applications for participation will be accepted through the Korea University Information College, Korea University SW-centered University Business Group, and SW-centered University Council website and Google Form until April 25. After the first written evaluation, the top 20 teams in each category will be selected, and the top 16 teams in each category will be awarded after a presentation evaluation held at Korea University on May 16.
