On March 26, Celo blockchain officially transitioned from an independent Layer 1 to a Layer 2 based on Ethereum, using Optimism's OP Stack technology. This migration aims to enhance scalability, interoperability, and connection with the Ethereum ecosystem. After the transition, Celo has advantages such as an internal bridge and a block creation time of only 1 second. The first partners in this process include Aave and Uniswap.
