U.S. and Vietnamese businesses ask Trump to delay imposing reciprocal tariffs on Vietnam

Planet Daily News: American and Vietnamese enterprises are requesting the Trump administration to postpone the plan of imposing a 46% tariff on Vietnamese goods, stating that the tariffs would harm their businesses and bilateral commercial relations. The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Hanoi American Chamber of Commerce expressed their concerns in a letter dated Saturday to Commerce Secretary Ruttenberg, describing the tariffs set to take effect on Wednesday as "shockingly high". The American Chamber of Commerce and Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce stated in a joint statement: "Lowering tariffs on products entering Vietnam and products entering American consumers will benefit American companies, economy, and consumers.
