I would argue that it is more likely that their users have no idea as these projects market themselves as "secure L2s inheriting security of Ethereum", but this is how web3 marketing works. We got used to that and we, as a community of builders, got complacent
There is a "preview recategorisation" button on @l2beat where you can see that in little more than 2 months all these projects won't be really considered L2s anymore. Will they care ? Is there anything anyone can do ? Happy to hear from the community as who knows, maybe 1/1 DAC
