Initiated by the Innovation and Technology Bureau and Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the International Innovation and Business Week (BITWeek) was held again in Hong Kong this April, featuring a series of grand events including the "Smart Lighting Expo", "Hong Kong Web3 Carnival", "Hong Kong International Innovation Expo", "Hong Kong Spring Electronics Show", and "Hong Kong World Youth Science Conference".
As one of the five core activities of the International Innovation and Business Week (BITWeek), the 2025 Hong Kong Web3 Carnival, jointly organized by Wanxiang Blockchain Laboratory and HashKey Group, and hosted by W3ME, successfully concluded at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from April 6 to 9.
On the morning of April 13, Dr. Xiao Feng, Chairman of Wanxiang Blockchain and Chairman and CEO of HashKey, was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the 2025 International Innovation and Business Week (BITWeek2025) and took the stage with guests including Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong SAR Government Chan Mao-po, Chairman of HKTDC Dr. Lin Jianyue, National Committee Member Xu Xiaolan, Director of the Liaison Office's Education and Technology Department Wang Weiming, Secretary of the Innovation and Technology Bureau Professor Sun Dong, and President of HKTDC Fang Shunwen to officially open the event.

The Web3 Carnival is a Web3 event brand launched by Wanxiang Blockchain Laboratory and HashKey Group, hosted by W3ME. The previous 2023 and 2024 Hong Kong Web3 Carnivals were hugely successful, gathering over 250 cutting-edge exhibiting projects, inviting more than 800 industry leaders for in-depth exchanges, attracting over 80,000 on-site audience, and featuring over 300 diverse side events.
The 2025 Hong Kong Web3 Carnival expanded its venue by 50% compared to the previous year, covering over 14,000 square meters, with total audience numbers also exceeding last year. The four-day event featured six venues themed around the four seasons, symbolizing the continuous vitality of the Web3 industry. Each day offered different highlights, attracting diverse audiences and maintaining excitement until the very end, providing a feast of intellectual collision and breeding numerous forward-looking insights.
