PANews reported on April 26 that according to CNBC, U.S. Senators Adam Schiff and Elizabeth Warren wrote to the U.S. Government Ethics Office on Friday, requesting an investigation into Trump to determine whether offering private dinners to TRUMP token investors violates federal ethical standards. The two senators stated that after the "TRUMP Dinner" news was released, the MEME coin TRUMP's market value surged by over $100 million, raising concerns about Trump and his family using their influence for personal gain. However, analysts believe that since the White House, Senate, and House of Representatives are controlled by the Republican Party and ethics officials are appointed by the president, Adam Schiff and Elizabeth Warren's request will likely be ignored. As of now, the White House has not responded to comment requests, and the U.S. Government Ethics Office has declined to comment.
Note: The U.S. Government Ethics Office is an internal government agency established based on the U.S. Government Ethics Law, with the primary purpose of making officials' property declarations and disclosures more reasonable and transparent. Its functions include developing implementation methods for officials' property declaration disclosures and jointly investigating officials who violate ethical regulations with the Attorney General.
