According to ChainCatcher and Axios, Democratic Representative Shri Thanedar from Michigan proposed seven articles of impeachment against Trump on Monday. The impeachment primarily involves allegations of obstructing justice, abuse of power, usurpation of authority, and bribery and corruption, mainly related to the concentration of presidential power and personal finances.
Thanedar stated in his declaration that Trump "is unfit to serve as president and poses a clear and present threat to the nation's constitution and democracy". Reports suggest that these impeachment measures are highly unlikely to pass, given that the Republicans currently control both the House and Senate.
