According to ChainCatcher, Tether CEO Paul Ardoino stated in an interview with CNBC on April 30 that Tether plans to launch a stablecoin product and enter the US market this year.
Tether's flagship stablecoin USDT is currently the primary "export product" of the US dollar, Ardoino told CNBC.
Ardoino said that Tether is preparing to enter the US market "as early as the end of this year or early next year," adding that the specific timing depends on the progress of US legislators in stablecoin legislation.
