PANews reported on May 11th that the token issuance platform Boop.fun announced an update on the BOOP airdrop on X platform, stating that they will end the new airdrop claiming early. They explained: "The current airdrop mechanism did not create platform value as we expected, but was instead exploited and manipulated, damaging the overall experience. The initial intention was good, but we failed in the incentive mechanism design, and did not effectively promote healthy ecosystem development, so we have decided to stop this ineffective approach. For those who have already obtained airdrop quotas, these quotas remain valid and can be accelerated through completing specific tasks."
Unclaimed BOOP tokens will be reallocated to a brand new reward system. This system will be launched in the next 1-2 weeks, with the goal of better supporting meaningful token issuance and incentivizing users who are truly willing to build for the long term.
