Mo Shaikh – Aptos co-founder and former CEO of Aptos Labs – recently surprised by sharing on the social platform X that he still holds up to 98% of the APT tokens he owns, despite leaving the executive position at Aptos Labs at the end of last December. Moreover, Mo Shaikh emphasized his belief in the ecosystem of projects built on the Move programming language, and encouraged the community to consider investing in tokens from this ecosystem.
In a playful conversation, when a user commented that if he switched to holding SUI (token of the Sui blockchain – Aptos' direct competitor, also built on Move), he would probably be very rich now, Mo Shaikh surprisingly revealed: "I also currently hold quite a lot of SUI."
This revelation immediately attracted great attention in the cryptocurrency community, especially among Watchers closely following the Aptos and Sui blockchains – both developed by former Diem project (Meta's previous stablecoin project) members. Mo Shaikh's public disclosure of holding both APT and SUI tokens shows a neutral perspective and his broad support for the collective development of the Move ecosystem.
