According to ChainCatcher, Forbes reported that Eigen Labs announced the Ethereum restaking protocol EigenCloud has completed a $70 million funding round, led by a16z.
This is a platform aimed at extending blockchain-level trust guarantees to any Web2 or Web3 applications, and the use of EigenCloud will create new fee streams, thereby supporting staking rewards.
It is reported that the Alpha version of EigenCloud will be released simultaneously with the performance upgrade of EigenDA, achieving a throughput of 50 MB per second on the Ethereum testnet. Additionally, EigenCloud has released a gated preview of EigenVerify, designed to arbitrate disputes in off-chain systems such as AI agents or prediction markets.
