Solayer's governance function has finally been activated, and the first proposal voting is currently open: setting the PoS inflation rate for $LAYER governance tokens for InfiniSVM (a hardware-accelerated SVM network by Solayer, soon to be on the testnet). - The initial PoS inflation after mainnet launch is set at 8% per year (to incentivize $LAYER holders to actively participate in network staking); - Then it will decrease by 15% annually (for example: first year 8%, second year (8*0.85) 6.8%, third year (6.8*0.85) 5.78%); - Until the inflation stabilizes at 2% (inflation will drop to 2% by the 10th year). This proposal voting will end in 2 days, and currently, its passage seems inevitable. However, the inflation output will not begin immediately after approval, but only after InfiniSVM's mainnet is launched and staking functionality is introduced. The earliest estimate is by the end of the year.
