According to ChainCatcher, asset tokenization company Securitize announced the hiring of former PayPal Digital Assets Legal Head Jerome Roche as General Counsel in preparation for the company's Nasdaq listing through a SPAC owned by Cantor Fitzgerald.
The acquisition is expected to value Securitize at $1.25 billion and will be traded under the ticker symbol SECZ. Securitize plans to tokenize its equity and is the issuer of BlackRock's on-chain government bond fund, BUIDL. Roche stated that his professional focus is "at the intersection of regulatory compliance and technological innovation."
